Poetry Speaks for Us is a program that uses writing and spoken word to empower and connect individuals of all ages and abilities. We have witnessed the incredible impact of these intergenerational exchanges in the communities we serve, from homeless shelters and supportive housing to crisis respites, youth groups, high school libraries, and local bookstores.

We foster understanding and connections by engaging in conversations and listening to each other's work. Writing and sharing poems in safe spaces provide social and emotional support, helping us navigate challenges. Reading our work aloud strengthens our connections to ourselves and our community, promoting personal and social change as we grow together.
